How Many Credit Hours Is The Program?
The Para-Professional Pathway to Certified Teacher (PPPCT) program is a total of 120 credit hours to earn a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree with a Teacher Education major. This includes all Registrar-approved courses transferred to 线上赌博app from accredited institutions.
Are There Program Components That Require A Visit To Campus?
No campus visits are required. While students are welcome to visit us on campus – registration, academic advising, and bill payments can be done online.
Do Any Of The Courses Have A Clinical Component?
Yes, most courses will have an accreditation-required clinical component. The best part of this program is that you will receive credit while you are working.
What Are The Costs?
- Tuition for all 线上赌博app courses required for the PPPCT degree is $300 per credit hour.
- There is a one-time $150 first-time online student service fee.
- There is also a $175 PPPCT student fee each semester.
- Amounts are based on 2023-24 tuition and fee charges, which are subject to change.

How Will Classes Be Designed?
Students will complete classes online. Classes will be divided into 15-week fall and spring semesters with additional 4-week mini sessions during summer and winter breaks. The last year will consist of educational methods courses and student teaching.
How Long Does The Program Take?
The program is designed to be completed in three years.
What If I Have Already Completed Some College Credits?
Each student will have a personal advising meeting to determine the acceptance of all applicable, completed coursework from other accredited universities. This allows each student to have their own individualized, degree completion plan.
I Have Never Taken Online Classes. Is There Technology Assistance?
Yes, the program is designed to gradually introduce students to various types of technology that are incorporated into the courses. One of the first courses offered in the program is Education Technology, designed to prepare today’s teacher for a Google-dominated classroom. Additionally, 线上赌博app provides technical support and a designated distance librarian.
What Are The Requirements Of The School District?
Participants in the program must be guaranteed paraprofessional employment by a school district for the duration of the program. The district must provide a mentor for each teacher candidate and an opportunity for 200 hours of clinical experience over a 2-year period.
What Programs Are Available?
We currently offer certification in Elementary Education and Special Education.
What Funds/Grants Are Available To Help With The Cost?
Individuals may qualify for a Pell Grant, College Access Program Grant, and student loans.
